Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Storage Cleaner, developed by Pivot Master Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Android application.

We designed Storage Cleaner with privacy as a core principle: all file scanning and analysis is performed entirely on your device. Your photos, documents, and personal files are never uploaded to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Do Not Provide — On-Device Processing Only

Storage Cleaner does not require you to create an account. The app reads your device storage to identify duplicates, large files, screenshots, WhatsApp media, and similar content. This processing happens entirely on your device and the file content is never transmitted to us or any third party.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

To improve app performance and diagnose issues, we may collect limited technical data through third-party SDKs:

• Crash reports — anonymous crash logs (stack traces, device model, OS version) to help us fix bugs
• Usage analytics — anonymous events such as which features are used and how often (no file names, paths, or content are included)
• Device information — device model, OS version, app version, and screen resolution

2.3 Purchase Information

If you upgrade to Storage Cleaner Premium, your purchase is processed entirely through Google Play. We receive confirmation of your purchase status but do not receive or store your payment card details.

2.4 Advertising

The free version of the app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data (such as a device advertising ID) to serve personalized or contextual ads. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how AdMob handles data.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the app's core features
• To diagnose crashes and fix technical issues
• To understand feature usage so we can improve the app
• To serve advertisements to free-tier users
• To verify premium subscription status
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for profiling, sell your data to third parties, or use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving the app.

4. Storage & File Access

Storage Cleaner requests permission to read your device's external storage (and, on Android 13+, specific media permissions) in order to scan for files. This is the core function of the app.

When you choose to delete files through the app, those deletions are performed by the Android system. Deleted files may be recoverable via your device's Trash/Recycle feature if enabled, but this is controlled entirely by Android and your device manufacturer — not by our app.

5. Third-Party Services

Storage Cleaner integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — anonymous analytics and crash reporting. Google Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob — advertisement delivery for free-tier users. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Play Billing — in-app purchase and subscription management. Google Play Terms

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we collect:

• All data transmitted to third-party services uses HTTPS encryption
• Crash reports and analytics are anonymized before transmission
• No personal files or file content ever leave your device

However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — third-party SDKs listed in Section 5, solely to operate the app
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, subject to the same privacy protections

8. Your Rights & Choices

8.1 Storage Permission

You can revoke Storage Cleaner's storage access at any time in your device Settings → Apps → Storage Cleaner → Permissions. Without storage access the core scanning features will not function.

8.2 Ad Personalization

You can opt out of personalized ads by resetting or opting out of your device's advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.

8.3 Analytics Opt-Out

Firebase Analytics respects the device-level "Opt out of Ads Personalization" setting. You can also disable analytics collection by contacting us at pivotmasterapps@gmail.com.

8.4 Data Deletion

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information tied to your identity, there is minimal personal data to delete. If you have concerns, contact us and we will work with you to address them. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data from your device.

9. Children's Privacy

Storage Cleaner is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Our third-party service providers (Google Firebase, AdMob) may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. By using Storage Cleaner, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

11. GDPR Rights (EU / EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
• Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

12. CCPA Rights (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know — what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected
• Right to opt out — opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
• Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
